Chipper

Chipper, a two-yr. old Belgium draft horse came from Canada as a PMU rescue horse back in January of 2004.  This horse was donated to Green Isle Children’s Ranch in July of 2004, who has been allowed free riding and anger management programs through Dove Hill, had no place to keep the horse.  Since Chipper was a young green horse and the cost for keeping a draft was too expensive for Green Isle, the children’s ranch in turn donated Chipper at the end of July to Dove Hill.  Chipper was almost 1400 lb., 16.1H, green and needed to be sadiated to do her hooves.  So Dove Hill found Chipper a good home in Orange County working with special need adults but Chipper stayed on Dove Hill until most of her training for special need adults was completed.  The boarding facility that adopted her was not charged for the training or board (which is $1200/month).  Chipper is now working full time with special need adults, 17.2H, over 1500 lb., but still needs to be sadadiated to do her hooves.  Go Chipper!!!
