April The Draft

April, a 19 yr. old Belgian Draft, was previously diagnosed with COPD by another professional vet 10/21/03. Upon getting the call 11/09/03 to Dove Hill to retire April, Dove Hill called Dr. David Malone to get the proper treatment. Apparently April was found to have snott and a fever of 104 degrees. It turns out April had a bacterial pneumonia since her first physical diagnose but was not receiving proper medical treatment. Once she started to receive proper treatment, she placed on her weight on and has no signs of COPD. Dove Hill Horse Ranch's neighbor loved April and wanted the horse so she paid the vet bills. April's new mom now rides, grooms and lets her run on 25 acres with three other horses.
